Vin Ganapathy My friend — call him Henry — thinks that we should start at the Equinox gym. But the place is crowded. The checkout line snakes around the stacked packs of organic beer almost to the door. By playing, I do mean playing: I have been happily married for a year and a half, and am not looking for dates, just subjects to chat with. My editor asked me to write a piece on what seems to be a perennial question: Why are there not more venues for straight couples to have casual, anonymized, No Strings Attached, sex? Most of them seem to boil down to stereotypes. They go something like:

Blendr ‘is about seeing who’s about in the real world in real time. Suki Dhanda for the Guardian Grindr , the location-based mobile dating app hugely popular among gay men, has launched a new version for straight people. Joel Simkhai, Grindr’s founder and chief executive, said the only difference was that Blendr is less focused on sex. It is very difficult to meet new people who are interested in the same things you are — Blendr will help solve the problem.
Responding to this, Chen shared his views including criticizing Wang for funding organizations against gay marriage. He also revealed that he would be boycotting any of her smartphones and accessories from her Taiwan-based company for a lifetime. I agree but that’s none of our business,’ Chen wrote in Chinese, which was translated by an independent translator for INTO. That’s also none of our business. There are people that are simply different from you, who desperately want to get married.
Why spend money to stop people in love from getting married? Is nothing important in life? Chen later dismissed INTO’s article, calling it ‘unbalanced and misleading,’ in a comment directed to staff writer Matthew Rodriguez. This article is unbalanced and misleading. I am a straight man married to a woman I love and I have two beautiful daughters I love from the marriage. This is how I feel about my marriage,’ he explained.

Download Grindr for PC (Windows 7/8/10) – Best Gay Dating App February 21, March 29, admin 1 Comment It is said that Grindr is one of the most prominent dating and social networking app especially for gays and bisexual mens.
It may not be the sexiest new feature — but it could be the most important one. Grindr and other primarily gay dating apps are exploring ways to add the ability for people who test positive for an STD to notify partners using the app, Mashable has learned in multiple interviews with public health experts. Bauer and Wohlfeiler, the most immediate and likely iteration of this functionality will be through a section in the apps that links out to existing anonymous notification services.
Wolfheiler said that this sort of service is “currently being designed and piloted,” but that there is no firm timeline for release. In-app messaging — in which an STD notification takes place entirely within the app ecosystem — is on the table as well. Bauer said in a recent phone call with Mashable. So we’re really excited. Conversations about how the apps can play a bigger role in STD notification have been part of ongoing discussions in the consortium.
When asked about the decision to link out to STD notification resources referenced by Wohlfeiler, Grindr’s Harrison-Quintana said, “We are exploring several additional sexual health-related features for our application. However, at this time, we are not disclosing any further details around this project. While experts greeted that move enthusiastically, Grindr also became embroiled in controversy after Buzzfeed learned that it was sharing HIV status and location data with third parties.
Grindr has pledged to stop that practice. But since then, Grindr has neither shared plans for nor implemented broader STD partner notification.

Tweet on Twitter Grindr, a gay–dating app, suffers from two security issues that can expose the information of its more than 3 million daily users, including the location data of people who have opted out of sharing such information, according to cybersecurity experts. His website allowed users to see who blocked them on Grindr after they entered their Grindr username and password. Grindr makes public the location of many of its users, but allows for users to opt out of this feature. Faden found that he could find the location of users who had opted out if they connected their Grindr profiles through his third-party website. The Year in Pictures Faden also discovered a separate security flaw related to location data that did not require users to log in to any third-party apps or websites with their Grindr credentials.
Grindr requires users to send location data to its servers in order for the app to work. In a statement issued to NBC News, Grindr said it was aware of the vulnerabilities that Faden had found and had changed its system to prevent access to data regarding blocked accounts. The company did not change access to any of the other data or how its app sends location data openly over the internet.
After Grindr changed its policy on access to data on which users had blocked other users, Faden shut down his website. The company also warned people not to use their Grindr logins for other apps or websites.
